Welcome to the MVP Chase, where I, James Leroy Wilson, rank players and teams using objective data.
Mid-season NFL Enthusiasm Ranking
No team is mathematically eliminated from the NFL playoffs yet. Any team can still go 9-8 or better, and there's a chance that 8-9 is still good enough for the playoffs.
But the degree of enthusiasm (hope plus excitement, or looking forward to the next game) will vary greatly.
This is my estimation of how good fans must be feeling about their teams. The number beside each team is a computation based on winning percentage and winning/losing streaks.

MVP Chase Methodology
For each game, I will look at the winning team. Then I will rank its top eight statistical performers using fantasypros scoring. I'll give 8 points to the team's top performer, 7 to the next-best, and so on. Then their points are added to their previous points in victories to give the current-week total.
Week 1 totals (No formal Power Rankings)
