Welcome to the MVP Chase, where I, James Leroy Wilson, rank players and teams using objective data.
Here are this week's rankings in the NFL MVP Chase. The methodology and previous weekly rankings are below the "About the Author" section.
Of note is that a player we might have expected to see near the top, Joe Burrow, has finally entered the Top 25 as the Bengals, who started the season poorly, have improved to 4-3. With nine or ten games left for each team, the race is definitely up for grabs.

MVP Chase Methodology
For each game, I will look at the winning team. Then I will rank its top eight statistical performers using fantasypros scoring. I'll give 8 points to the team's top performer, 7 to the next-best, and so on. Then their points are added to their previous points in victories to give the current-week total.
